5 Common Mistakes When Starting A Cleanse 13

Cleansing, or going on a green smoothie or juice fast is a trial and error process. You have to know what works for you. You also have to set yourself and your environment up in a way that you make as few mistakes as possible.
The problem with making mistakes when on a cleanse is that this causes most people to give up. You don’t want that to happen to you! Instead, you want a problem-free, drama-free and overall pleasant cleanse experience.
To help you achieve that, here are 5 common mistakes a lot of people usually make when on a juice cleanse. Hopefully, knowing about these will help you avoid them and gain success within the process!

1. Not being prepared for the cleanse

If you want to go on a green smoothie or juice cleanse, then you have to make sure that your fridge is stocked with all of the fruits and vegetables that you may need all throughout the cleanse. You have to make it so easy for you that all you need to do when it is meal time is to reach in the fridge and take the ingredients that you need out.
If it will continue to be a difficult process to make your green smoothies, then no doubt you will give up. A great tip would be to visit the grocery store with your juice ingredient list on hand. That way, you know exactly what to buy, and can throw in a few extras too.

2. Keeping temptation around

Going on a green smoothie cleanse can be difficult if there are always temptations around to prevent you from achieving your goal. Before you start your cleanse, clear your fridge and your house from all junk food that may be tempting to snack on.
Another helpful thing to do would be to clear your schedule. It may be difficult for you to go to dinners and such, and watch other people eat, while you can’ have anything but juice yourself. To save yourself from the agony, just time your juice cleanse when you have no, or at least fewer social obligations.

3. Skipping meals or juices

Green smoothies can be very filling and it may not be surprising for you to still feel full, even when it is time for the next juice. While your instincts may tell you that it is OK to skip a juice or two, I advise you not too.
The green smoothie cleanse was designed in a way that your body has a constant supply of nutrients. If you choose to skip a juice, you may end up feeling dizzy and lightheaded in no time at all.

4. Keeping their workout schedule the same

A lot of people who decide to go on juice cleanses already practice somewhat healthy habits, such as working out. A common mistake is to keep working out at the same intensity while being on a cleanse.
Remember that your body is still adjusting to having less things to burn, so it may be a good idea to keep it easy and reduce the amount and intensity of your workouts.

5. Not having enough juice during the cleanse

There are some people who, despite being on the juice cleanse, still consciously count calories and even deprive themselves of getting the right amount of smoothies or juices.
I’m telling you right now- don’t be one of those people! Give your body as much juice or smoothies that it needs to function! It is the best thing for it!
