17 Steps of Diet for Best Health
Most of the people are unaware about their nutrition. The diet and
nutrition we take, determines how we feel, act and look. The quantity
and quality of food determines one’s psychological and physiological
condition of well being. To be healthy both physically and
psychologically, one should eat right foods at right intervals.
Here we discuss 17 steps of diet for best health or must-have foods to be included in the regular diet according nutritionists.
1) Meals should be taken at regular intervals and it should be taken
five times per day, out of which main meals should be taken three times
and mild meals should be taken two times per day. This step reduces the
risk of diabetes, hypertension and ill health.
2) Have 10 to 15 glasses of water every day as it hydrates and flush out toxins from the body.
3) Breakfast should not be skipped and it is a must as it provides 25% percent of nutrients and energy to the body.
4) Quality of the food we take is very important as it determines
efficiency of work. Refined foods like white rice, white bread, pasta
should be avoided.
5) Two cups of green tea or herbal tea provides most health benefits,
including it makes skin glowing, helps for weight loss, and increases
efficiency in work.
6) Green vegetables and orange, yellow fruits must be included in the
diet as it is very rich phytonutrients, Vitamin C, Vitamin A prevents
many types of diseases including cancer and diabetes. Vegetables like
carrot, broccoli, cantaloupes, berries and citrus fruits should be
included.
7) Fiber rich foods such as Oats, ragi, barley, whole wheat grains should be included in the diet.
8) Foods that contain healthy fats such as omega 3 fatty acids which
are present in almonds, walnuts, flax seeds, sesame seeds, olive oil
should be included in the diet.
9) Calcium rich foods like soya beans, sesame seeds, dairy products should be included for optimal and bone health.
10) Protein rich foods like nuts, pulses, beans, whole grains must be
included in the diet as it improves overall health and prevent many
health disorders.
11) Healthy snacks should be taken in between main meals that provide
energy for whole day. Fruits like apple, cantaloupes, and bananas
should be preferred for snacking.
12) Fortified cereals such brown rice, whole wheat, whole grains, and
dairy products which are good source of Vitamin B12 should be included
in the regular diet to prevent depression, anemia, and fatigue.
13) At least two fruits of any variety should be taken in the diet.
14) Consumption of a plate of green salads at least once per day, as it removes excess calories and helps for weight loss.
15) Take just handful of nuts of any variety like almonds, peanuts,
walnuts, which are good source of omega 3 fatty acids, Vitamins and
minerals, helps for the improvement of overall health, and helps to lose
weight.
16) Spices like cloves, ginger, garlic and basil leaves should be

17) It is necessary to a have light dinner and have it as early as possible, as this step enables you to become healthier.
